Simple summary:
Join us to discuss giving significantly, effectively and openly with Giving What We Can.
What to expect:
We will meet at 2:30pm and mingle while people arrive. This is a great time to meet others interested in effective giving. Free snacks will be provided.
At 3:00-3:30pm, we will listen to a talk by the lovely people at Giving What We Can.
After the talk, we will break into discussion groups to reflect on charity, giving and mindset.
At ~4:30pm we will wrap up, and some of us will head to Palace Arcade for pizza, games and drinks - you’re invited!
Who it’s for:
This event is for anyone who wants to give back in a way that makes a huge difference.
If you’ve ever wondered about whether charity makes a difference, which ones achieve the most, or whether they should be working on something more important, you will love this event.
If you think that giving more would be too demanding, or that it should be a social norm, this event is for you.
How to prepare:
Explore these readings and exercises in your own time. These are completely optional, they are not a barrier to attending. We will not assume you have completed them. If you run out of time, you can always do them after the event.

Who to bring:
Any friends, family or co-workers who are very interested based on the description of this event. Please RSVP so that we know how many people to expect.
Location:
It’s at Vic Park Community Space - 1 Miller Street, Victoria Park. That’s next to Boston Brewing Co and Wilson Parking. NOT the community CENTRE, which is next to Leisurelife - common mistake!
Getting there:
Best Parking: Wilson Parking Vic Quarter is directly connected to the venue. There is free parking at the vic park carlisle bowling club, which is a 5 minute walk from the venue.
How to find us:
The room has a huge banner facing the street that says ‘Vic Park Community Space’. Just knock or enter the door - our organisers will be wearing EA shirts :)
